Meet Hazel Bradbury
Hazel began her career with estate agents Peter Alan before going on to work for new home developer Westbury. She joined Payton Jewell Caines in 1998 and is now a Director responsible for our Port Talbot branch.
You must have seen a lot of changes during your time in the industry?
You could say that I’ve been to the university of life! There certainly isn’t much that I haven’t seen when it comes to selling and buying property. Yes, there have been huge changes in legislation and in the world of digital marketing but the bottom line is that our job is all about knowing the local market and advising our clients with honesty and integrity. Good old-fashioned customer service still goes a long way!
What are your top tips for selling?
Be honest with yourself. You need to be realistic with your asking price else you’ll still be looking for a buyer in six months time. Make sure you have all your paperwork ready. This is particularly important if you have made any changes to the property. Most importantly, pay attention to the detail! Presentation is everything in our business.
Any advice for first time buyers?
Please make sure you get good mortgage advice. You’ll need as much deposit as you can possibly save and it is a good idea to take advantage of first time buyers help to buy.

Do you get time to relax?
