News BATTING FOR PORT TALBOT SUMMER CRICKET CLUB

40 budding young cricket players will get the opportunity to practice their skills this summer at the Port Talbot Town Cricket Club Summer School.

Sponsored by estate agents Payton Jewell Caines, the 12 day summer programme is run by professional coaches and is opento children aged 8 to 15 years. It includes those from the Sandfields and Aberavon Communities First cluster and will act as an introduction to cricket to engage more young people in the game while providing health and well-being benefits.

Ray Cox, Chairman of Port Talbot Town Cricket Club said: “Without the help of local businesses, clubs like Port Talbot Town Cricket Club simply don’t survive. Payton Jewell Caines are well known locally as the go-to estate agent in our area. We are therefore very grateful to themfor their support, helping us to offer the summer school to local children.”
